The FENDANT is the great “Valais” and thus the most important white wine in the country, which is often and gladly drunk on every occasion. The Chasselas is a vine with vigorous growth. The berries are large and gold colored. The name “Fendant” is reserved exclusively for Valais.
Light yellow with gray-green color; smells of vine and linden flowers, mineral character with some flint; very fine and light, fruity, harmonious, tasty and slightly sparkling.
It is ideal as an aperitif drink and as a fine accompaniment to Valais specialties such as raclette, fondue, dried meat, but also sauerkraut, cheese and fish dishes.
Recommended drinking temperature: 8 ° to 10 ° C.
